Change to Appointments
Posted or Updated on 4 Apr 2024
From Monday 29th August 2022 the Practice is changing the way in which we allocate on the day appointment requests. This is to ensure that our patients receive the ‘Right Care at the Right Time’ and to improve access.
Patients who feel that their symptoms need to be assessed on the same day will be triaged by one of our clinicians in the first instance. When calling the practice for an on the day appointment one of the Reception team will take your details along with a brief reason for your call. One of our clinicians will then call you back.
Our telephone lines will now be open Monday-Friday from 8am-5:30pm with triage running until 11am daily. Requests for on the day appointments or triage calls will not be taken at the Reception desk. We are aware that it can be difficult to get through to us on the telephone. We are working to make this better. Our telephone lines are very busy during these hours therefore we politely ask that patients telephone after 11am if your query is not urgent.
We hope that these changes will improve accessibility to routine appointments with our GPs which will now be available to book 4 weeks in advance.
We thank you for your continued support.
