We are an accredited GP training practice. This means at times a trainee doctor might be present during a consultation or indeed might see you themselves. They will always be supervised to ensure we continue to provide you with the best care.
The GP Trainee is a fully qualified and experienced doctor near the end of their training to be a GP. We will usually have at least one trainee working with us as they gain experience in general practice.
Trainee doctors do a variety of jobs in hospital before spending either six or twelve months with us.
Video Consultations
Recording consultations by video is an important part of training of a General Practice Registrar. Recordings are usually used within the practice between the partners and the GP Registrar for educational purposes. We would ask for your full consent for such a recording to be made and likewise following such a consented consultation you will be invited once again to agree that it can be retained for teaching purposes.
Our current trainee GP is:- Dr Najam Bhatti (GPST3).
Medical Students
We are also involved with the education and training of medical and nursing students. We hope that you will co-operate with us and help the students to learn about general practice. You will be informed in advance of their presence and if you do not wish them to be present during your consultation then your wishes will be respected. This will not affect your treatment in any way.
