PLEASE NOTE: APPOINTMENT BOOKING THROUGH EMIS PATIENT ACCESS HAS BEEN SUSPENDED TEMPORARILY DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK - FOR ALL APPOINTMENT BOOKING REQUESTS PLEASE TELEPHONE 01383 518500.
All surgery consultations are by way of appointment only. To make an appointment telephone 01383 518500 during between the hours or 8:30am-6pm.
An appointment is for one person only. If more than one person in the family needs to be seen please advise Reception at the time of booking and a longer appointment time will be allocated. If you consider that your consultation requires additional time or you have multiple problems to be dealt with, please arrange a double appointment. For further information on how to get the most from your consultation please click here.
Please be aware that our Reception team may need to ask for further details regarding your medical condition in order to deal with your request. This is under the instruction of the GP's and will allow them where possible to signpost you to the right person or service.
We operate a 10 minute GP appointment system with a mixture of routine appointments, which can be booked up to three weeks in advance, on the day and emergency appointments.
GP consulting times vary from day to day depending on each GP's rota and availability but will normally be between the hours of 8:30am-10:30am and 2:20pm-5:40pm. We also offer evening appointments for patients who are unable to attend during normal consulting hours on a Thursday from 6:00pm-8:30pm.
We politely ask that patients do not queue outside the Practice to make an appointment before opening, this is for health and safety reasons. We do not open the doors before 8:30am, even in adverse weather. Due to Coronavirus, all appointments are triaged initially to reduce the amount of patients attending the practice.
The Practice operates a system whereby a named GP will act as the duty Doctor between the hours of 8am-6pm Monday-Friday. The duty Doctor will be available to triage and prioritise all urgent medical problems which are felt require to be dealt with the same day.
In circumstances that you feel you have an urgent medical condition please phone 01383 518500 and tell the Receptionist that you require urgent medical care. The duty Doctor will phone you and if felt necessary arrange an appointment for you to be seen in the Practice.
Booking Appointments Online - EMIS Patient Access
You can register to book appointments online through EMIS Patient Access. Please contact the practice on Fife.email@example.com for information on how to register.
Appointment Cancellation and Non-Attendance
If you have an appointment which you no longer require we would politely ask that you cancel it. On average 26 patients do not attend (DNA) their appointments in a week which in turn makes it more difficult for other patients to access an appointment when they need it.
Appointments can be cancelled by telephoning Reception 01383 518500 or through our online appointment booking system if the appointment has been booked online.
